WELCOME TO THE SMAS PROGRAMS PAGE!
Members of the Southern Maryland Astronomical Society (SMAS) observe sunspots with a solar projection telescope at the RiverArtsfest in June 2005. Sponsored by the Charles County Arts Alliance, the event was held at the Village Green in Indian Head, Maryland. SMAS members also showed visitors sunspots on other telescopes, fitted with special solar filters.
